OfficePCs is a network consulting firm specialising in systems
integration, consultancy and support services. Our aim is to
provide quality support, services and products that best suit our
clients’ needs to enable them to maximize the effectiveness of
their office work environment.
OfficePCs supports computer networks in all office environments
from small to complex irrespective of the client and their staffs’
computer capabilities. We will assist by assessing the existing
capabilities, provide effective solutions, implement the solutions,
provide product and system training and assist with on-going
support.
We perform technical assistance, system integration,
consultancy, network design and implementation and trouble shooting
for Microsoft Server and Workstation platforms (including NT, 2000,
XP, 2003 and Small Business Servers), DOS and Novell Netware
systems. We can help with network expansion or upgrade,
network planning, router/gateway installation, cross-platform
integration, e-mail and Internet support.
How is this
Delivered?
There are a number of ways in which we offer IT support
services, these include:-
- Fixed Price per annum - this is our preferred pricing
structure
- Casual/Ad hoc - charged on a per hour basis
- Regular Support Contract - Based on Casual/Ad hoc, it is a
pre-paid purchase of a block of support hours at a discounted
rate
1. Fixed Price per
Annum
We have been offering this package
for a couple of years and have found that it really suits most
clients requirements as it:
- Allows the client to budget their IT support costs for the
year;
- When/if a major failure occurs, the cost of this is not bourne
by the client;
- Allows us to be proactive with IT support and not have to wait
to be invited onto the site to rectify an issue;
- Typically the business owner and/or the business accountant are
very mindful of the time taken to complete IT support tasks. This
often leads to an incomplete/rush job that is often referred to as
a band-aid approach. We prefer to take the extra time and fix the
problem properly the first time and check that other issues are not
about to surface.
- Proactive with IT suggestions - there is always new
technologies available and these may be appropriate to the clients
business overall productivity.
- It is in our interest and our clients interest that the IT
environment works smoothly with minimal involvement from us and
allows you to get maximum returns from the efforts of the
staff
2. Casual/Ad hoc
Support
Support delivered as required at a
casual hourly rate.
3. Regular Support
Contract
OfficePCs offers an on-site support
contract allowing organizations to purchase the support services of
OfficePCs engineers. By purchasing the contracted hours in
advance you are gaining access to OfficePCs support services at a
reduced rate.
The purchased contract is for a
number of draw-down support hours. As work is performed, the
number of hours taken to complete the work will be deducted from
the quantity purchased.
There are no calendar restriction
applicable with this contract i.e. the draw down hours are
available to the organization until they have been completely
utilized. Therefore the remaining unused hours would not be
terminated at the completion of a calendar, financial or other
period.
Support Services are divided into
Telephone/remote support and on-site support.
